The application of structural adjustment policies resulted in a vertiginous growth of forced migration from Ecuador. One of the main places to which these migrants moved went to Spain, as well as other destinations such as Italy and Holland.The shortage of livelihoods to subsist that migrants and their families faced forced them to establish new survival strategies that included the migration process, in order to increase their personal or family income, thus escaping an suffocating situation of poverty and poverty andLack of future perspectives in their places of origin. The consequences of the systemic crisis occurred in 2008 and the destruction of jobs that occurred in the previous prosperous Spanish construction sector led to an increase in unemployment, which led many Ecuadorian men and women to return to Ecuador.
