Subject(s): Online resources: Summary: For a few decades in Spain we live "times of immigration". This process contributes significantly to the great transformations that our reality is experiencing as a host society, and to which the Region of Murcia is no stranger. The social fabric, the productive sectors, the legal - political dimension or the occupational structure take on new profiles. The immigrant status offers the reader a reflection on the social, economic, legal and political situation of immigration in Spain and the Region of Murcia. The analysis is carried out in four large areas. The first part contains the chapters devoted to the contextualization of the migratory phenomenon. The second addresses the question of immigrant citizenship. Finally, the fourth part addresses the question of work as well as the dynamics of social production.
